Community Scrapstore North Somerset saved

The much loved Community Scrapstore North Somerset which was facing closure as a result of increasing coasts has been saved thanks to a plethora of grants from local bodies.

Thanks to the Quartet Community Foundation, the North Somerset Community Partnership fund, North Somerset Council and Weston Town Council the store now have enough funding to secure their future and remain open.

A spokesperson for the organisation said:

“We are so grateful for all the wonderful messages of support we received when we announced we were struggling back in July, its only with that outpouring of concern that our funders have recognised the need for our service for our community and the environment.

We will now be renewing memberships as normal, so please pop in when you can and continue to support our service, we’ve been given a life line but we still need you to use us so we can thrive. The more you use our service the stronger we can become”
