A Weston family will host a community event to raise funds for their son who has been diagnosed with a life-limiting and progressive illness.

14yr old Kieran has been diagnosed with mitochondrial disease complex one deficiency, a genetic disorder which causes a wide range of physical and neurological issues.

His family have a crowdfunder and are holding a special charity event to raise money to complete Kieran's bucket list, with all proceeds from the event going directly towards helping him fullfill his dreams.

The event will be held on Saturday, July 5th, from 10:30am to 12:30pm at the Sports Hall, Priory Community School in Worle.

The event will include live music, a circus workshop, entertainment, craft and market stalls, bouncy castle and much more. Entry to the event is free.

Parents, Rebecca & Darren said "We believe this event offers a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy a fun-filled morning, and contribute to a truly worthy cause. We have been fundraising for the last three years for Kieran's bucket list and  this will be our last event . Kieran's main passion in life is cooking and travel and items on his bucket list that are still to be completed include a visit to Japan & Dubai, the Lego house Denmark and a behind-the-scenes tour at a well-known restaurant . He also wants to attend a big rock concert, visit Comic-con and take a ride in a super car"
