Earlier this week, in response to an increase in youth‑related anti‑social behaviour and violence in Weston Town Centre, officers from the Weston Town Centre Neighbourhood Policing Team, supported by Patrol and Early Intervention Teams, identified and arrested three males linked to a violent disorder on 31/03/2026.

Two of those arrested are aged 14, with the third aged 17. All have been released on bail with strict conditions in place to reduce the risk of further offending, including restrictions preventing them from entering Weston Town Centre, while the investigation continues.

A spokesperson for Avon & Somerset Police said;

“No one is above the law.

While we recognise that those involved are children and will be supported and safeguarded appropriately, violence has no place in our town.

We have a duty of care not only to the young people involved, but, crucially, to the victims. Our priority is to ensure that residents and visitors can feel safe as well as be safe, and we will continue to take robust action to hold young offenders accountable and protect our community.”
