Reset WSM are a community interest company (CIC) who work tirelessly to support young people, especially those with additional needs, to access an inclusive education for those struggling in mainstream settings, a valuable resource for children and young people across North Somerset.
Already offering alternative provisions, school sessions, and targeted groups, the team at RESET went above and beyond for young people in 2024, hosting the first annual North Somerset Youth Awards in the Winter Gardens, an instantly recognisable defining feature of Weston-super-Mare’s seafront.
Last year, the event was hosted on the iconic Grand Pier, an astonishing venue for what became a hugely successful event. It celebrated a range of young people who had gone unnoticed but had been achieving outstanding feats, from charity fundraisers to their work in the creative arts.
The audience were treated to performances from numerous groups such as the Cadets’ band and bugles, the local Pauline Quirk Academy students, as well as other terrific talents.
This year, the event is returning to the venue, and promises to be the biggest event yet. With the awards being sponsored by organisations such as the brand new North Somerset Youth Parliament, the community is preparing to hear all about the amazing achievements from young people!
Reset have been urging the community to get involved, with a multitude of nominations already received in the nine categories:
Arts and Culture Champion
Caring Champion
Environmental Champion
Fundraising Champion
Learning Champion
Sporting Champion
Superhero Champion
Services to Children Champion (This is awarded to an adult)
Would you like to nominate a young person or youth worker in any of these categories? All you need to do is fill in a form! You can find the details on the Reset WSM website!
