The TikTok Taste Tester: Weston Lad, 12, Goes Viral Reviewing Local Eats

Arthur ( aka Top Kid Chef) aged 12, has become a TikTok sensation wracking up over half a million views on some of his videos, which focus on energetic and humorous reviews of restaurants and takeaways around Weston and the local area.

However, being only 12 Mum; Lucy and Dad; Lee, manage the social media accounts to ensure his wellbeing.

Mum; Lucy, said ;

“From a young age Arthur has always been very confident and very inquisitive about food, he has never be afraid to try something new and I’m so very proud of what he is doing.

He loves to see the happiness he brings on people’s faces when they try his recipes and when it comes to his reviews he is very honest about the quality as he doesn't want to disappoint his followers.

Since Arthur was young all he really saw was me in and out of hospital and even now the reviews he does are a great distraction for him and give him a chance to do something he loves.

I have been in and out of a wheelchair for 12 years due to a range of health issues and I started to have seizures 2 years ago and have still not been formally diagnosed. Arthur has had to see me have a seizure which is hard for him, so the support he gets from people who watch and interact with them is a great distraction for him.

He has said he would love to be a TV presenter one day and I hope his dream comes true as he deserves so much for being so strong and confident and funny with all that he has been through and accomplished”
