Police confirm two arrested after Tesco car park fight

Avon & Somerset Police have issued an update regarding the incident caught on camera that took place at the weekend in the car park of Tesco on Station Rd in Weston-super-Mare.

A spokesperson for Avon & Somerset Police said: “Officers were called to a supermarket in Station Road, in Weston-super-Mare on Saturday (18 July) at around 8pm to reports of an altercation in the car park.

“A 22-year-old man reported he had been racially abused by a 26-year-old man and an altercation ensued between the two men.

“The 26-year-old was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated public order and assaulting an emergency worker.

“The 22-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assault.”
