University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust has ranked 13 out of 134 in a new league table published by the government
The government has published league tables as ranking every NHS hospital trust in England to help raise standards and show where care is falling short.
The tables rank all 205 trusts in England on 30 measures including A&E performance, waiting times for planned treatment, finances and mental health services. They will be updated every three months.
University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is ranked within the 134 acute hospital trusts that operate nationwide.
Maria Kane, Chief Executive of the Bristol NHS Group, said: “The high performance of both Bristol NHS Group’s trusts in the new National Oversight Framework is testimony to the hard work and dedication of our teams to provide safe, effective and timely care to our patients and the population we serve.
“I do recognise that within this positive report there are still areas for improvement and remain committed to doing even more to improve our services for local people.
“As we continue to explore becoming a single organisation for the benefit of our Four Ps – our patients, our people, our population and the public purse - the ratings show the strong foundations on which we can and will build together.”
