A new day long festival will take place this month aimed at “stopping the stigma” associated with those undergoing recovery from drug and alcohol addiction issues.

“Recovery Festival 25” will take place on Saturday 20th September, starting at 11am in the Italian Gardens and is organised by Help Addicts Recover Today (HART) and Addiction Recovery Cafe (ARC). Both groups are now a part of North Somerset Council’s Harm Reduction Team.

Organiser Fiona said “We are a group of passionate and dedicated people in recovery. The Festival is happening with set-up support from the council and is being organised by volunteers. We are doing amazing things here and have very exciting plans for the near future!”

The event is starting with a “Recovery Walk” for anyone that is affected by addiction either directly or indirectly, followed by singers, performers and music.
