Artists from across the UK will transform walls across Weston-super-Mare later this month as Weston Wallz returns from Friday 17th - Sunday 26th July, creating 20 new permanent murals and expanding the town's growing outdoor gallery to more than 70 large-scale public artworks.

Produced by Upfest, Weston Wallz has become one of the UK's leading street art festivals, bringing nationally recognised artists and emerging talent to Weston-super-Mare to create bold new public artworks celebrating creativity, community and local identity.
Visitors will be able to watch artists painting live throughout the festival before exploring the completed mural trail across the town centre and seafront.
This year's street line-up brings together some of the South West's most exciting mural artists alongside nationally recognised names, including Ajax Piper, Alex D, Bex Glover, Danksy, Georgie Webster, Irony, Jeru Nomi, Lou Harrison, Mister Tris, Mul, Perspicere, Peter Sheridan, Sadie Were, Sian Storey, Tech Moon and Yeto. Working across street art, illustration, portraiture, wildlife art and contemporary mural painting, each artist will create a new permanent artwork in their own distinctive style.

Returning for 2026, the ever popular S.M.Art Sprayjam and Workshops are back in the Italian Gardens on the 25th & 26th of July, curated by local arts facilitator Lin Toulcher. The gathering of a further 25+ artists from across the region has become a real focal point for visitors to Weston Wallz, with their artworks remaining on display until early September.
The Weston Wallz team are always keen to make positive improvements for the town and leave a legacy. This year we’re proud to be working alongside Weston Town Council, North Somerset Council with funding from Weston BID to transform Artwork Alley with a full refresh of paint, repairs to lighting and a deep clean to make the walkthrough alongside the old TJ Hugues building brighter and more appealing for pedestrians.

Community remains central to the festival, with two community murals being created in collaboration with local groups, including South Weston Activity Network (SWAN). The returning Scale Up programme will also give emerging local artists the opportunity to create work on a significantly larger scale, supporting the next generation of mural talent.
Steve Hayles, Festival Director at Upfest, said: "One of the things that makes Weston Wallz special is the variety of artists we bring together. This year's line-up spans everything from bold graphic illustration and fine art, traditional forms of street art, portraiture and large-scale storytelling, so every wall will offer something completely different. As well as introducing visitors to incredible artists from across the UK, we're continuing to build a permanent outdoor gallery that belongs to the town and can be enjoyed by locals and visitors long after the festival has finished."
Taking place during the first week of the school summer holidays, Weston Wallz invites visitors to experience Weston-super-Mare through art, discovering independent businesses, cultural venues and public spaces as murals take shape across the town.
Weston Wallz is made possible through the financial support of Arts Council England, Weston Town Council, Weston BID, Super Culture and MTN Spray Paints.
