Unity Beach Holiday Park in Brean is preparing to unveil its biggest-ever outdoor leisure investment later this month, with the opening of a new £11 million development featuring a lido, splash pool and a range of new family attractions.

Former Team GB Olympic swimmer Dame Sharron Davies has been invited as the VIP guest to officially open the new facilities on Friday, July 18.
The centrepiece of the development is a large outdoor lido, with a spacious pool area designed to accommodate around 400 people.
Alongside it is a seaside-themed splash zone featuring interactive water play for younger children, as well as a new outdoor leisure space for holidaymakers, caravan owners and, each afternoon subject to capacity, local residents paying a small admission fee.
A Unity Beach spokesperson says the development marks one of the largest investments ever made at the holiday park, transforming the resort’s outdoor offering next to Brean Splash Water Park with new play areas, family relaxation zones and even a dedicated dog agility area.
The expansion also includes a new Activity Barn, where visitors will be able to take part in instructor-led sessions such as archery, rifle shooting and axe throwing.
Opposite the splash entrance, a new Creative Arts Studio will offer pottery painting, messy play, arts and crafts, and Build-A-Bear workshops.
Both venues will be open to the public as well as holiday park guests, with activities and 15 outdoor cabanas available to book through the Unity website.
The outdoor splash attraction, including the new lido, outdoor slides and seaside splash pad, will be open daily from 10am to 5pm for holidaymakers and caravan owners. Members of the public will be able to access the facilities from 1pm each day, subject to capacity.
Fifteen new cabanas, each seating four people and equipped with a stocked fridge, will also be available to book online, with any remaining availability offered to the public from 1pm.
The investment forms part of a wider programme of improvements at the Brean holiday park, aimed at enhancing facilities for both staying guests and day visitors.
The resort operators say the £11m investment is part of a wider programme of improvements aimed at expanding facilities for both holidaymakers and day visitors, strengthening Unity Beach’s position as one of Somerset’s leading coastal destinations.
