Police called to secondary school after teenagers wore 'offensive T-shirts' and acted in 'threatening manner'

Police were called to a secondary school in Worle after teenagers wore "offensive t-shirts" and acted in a "threatening manner".

Th episode unfolded at the gates of Priory School in Queensway, Worle at around 10am on Monday, Avon and Somerset Police said.
It is thought the group consisted largely of Year 11 students who had just finished their GCSE exams.
A minority of the group began "behaving in a
threatening manner" and were "wearing t-shirts with offensive slogans", police said.
Three boys "identified as leading the gathering" were identified and spoken to by police. They are due to attend "voluntary interviews in due course", the force added.
A spokeswoman for the force said:
"Officers were called to a school in Queensway, in Worle, near Weston-super-Mare, at around 10am yesterday (Monday 15 June) after a group of teenagers congregated outside the school gates, with a smaller group of them behaving in a threatening manner and wearing t-shirts with offensive slogans.
"The officers engaged with the group and three boys were identified as leading the gathering. They have been identified and will attend voluntary interviews in due course.
"Reassurance was given to staff and students at the school on the day who were impacted by the gathering and patrols have continued at the school around school opening and closing times.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
The school has been contacted for comment.
