Spate of “dog rape threats” by young boys blights Weston Village

A number of residents living in Weston Village and surrounding areas have been left shocked after being targeting with verbal threats whilst walking their dogs in recent weeks.

One local resident took to social media to explain that she was walking her four legged friends in Weston Village yesterday (Thursday 24th) when 3 boys on bicycles that she believes to be no older than 12, approached her telling her “we’re going to rape your dogs”

The encounter appears to be one of number of similar incidents that have taken place in the local area in the last couple of weeks.

A second local resident also took to social media explaining she too had been accosted by children making threats, she said “We had the same problem with the kids in Puttingthorpe saying they were going to rape my dogs with sticks”

These two dog walkers weren’t the only ones to be targeted with abuse by what may be the same group of boys, with a third dog walker being subject to similar threats, the woman said; “I had a similar incident last Saturday around 9.30pm while walking my dog! 2 boys on a bike telling me they’re gonna put their sausage in my ass. What kind of world are we living in!”

It is unknown if any of the incidents have been reported to the police but if they were to be, they could amount to an offence covering threatening or abusive behaviour, or a public order offence, depending on how the threats were perceived.
