A group of five defectors, at least 3 of which are related, including the former Weston Reform UK chair Oliver Louis Roger-Hargreaves (aka Oliver Louis, aka Oliver Hargreaves, aka Oliver Roger-Hargreaves) have announced the launch of a new political party.

The new party, to be called “Weston-super-Mare First” was described by the group as “A local party giving Westonians a strong voice in local politics”.

The new group will seemingly be an independent party with links to Restore Britain, which the former chairman of Weston Reform announced his defection to yesterday on social media.

Restore Britain, not to be confused with the similar sounding Renew Party, Reform UK, Reclaim Party or Advance UK, was announced as a new national party by the former Reform UK MP; Rupert Lowe.

As a new political party, there are few indications of what policies Restore Britain has, however its leader Rupert Lowe has spoken on a number of issues including the NHS in which he said;

“The NHS was a noble idea that has longed outlived its usefulness” (2024)

This stance is not to be confused with the view of Nigel Farage, leader of Reform UK’s view on the NHS who said;

“ I think we're going to have to move to an insurance-based system of healthcare." (2012)

On this occasion, we think it’s best we leave you, the reader, to make sense of it all.
