Yellow warning for rain as Storm Claudia brings heavy rain until 6am Saturday

The Met Office has issued a widespread Yellow warning for rain that includes Weston-super-Mare as Storm Claudia is due to bring pro-longed rain throughout Thursday and into the early hours of Saturday morning.

Issued by the Met Office a Yellow Warning means that Storm Claudia may lead to some flooding and disruption

- Spray and flooding leading to difficult driving conditions, some road closures, and some bus and train services delayed or cancelled

- Homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings

- Fast flowing or deep floodwater is possible, causing a danger to life

- Some communities may be cut off by flooded roads

- Possible power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses
