A customer advisor at Boots in Locking Castle is celebrating an incredible milestone after dedicating 50 years to supporting customers and the local community.

Carol Yeats, who works at the Boots store in Locking Castle, first joined the company in April 1976 and has since built a remarkable career across multiple locations, becoming a familiar and trusted face for customers in Western-Super-Mare.

Carol is known for going the extra mile for customers and colleagues alike, earning a reputation as the heart of the store and affectionately known as ‘Aunty Carol’, proudly flying the Boots flag through fundraising, community and award events over the years.

Carol Yeats, Customer Advisor at Boots, said:

“Joining Boots opened the door to a whole new chapter in my life, one filled with real joy and opportunity as I learned what it truly means to be part of the Boots team.

Over the years, I’ve been lucky to develop my knowledge across so many areas and, most importantly, to build lasting relationships with our wonderful customers, which has been an absolute privilege. I’m so grateful to Boots for 50 happy years, and I’m proud to still be part of the team today.”

Carol is one of several Boots colleagues across the UK celebrating 50 years of service this summer as they join the Boots 50 Year Club.

Each year, members are invited to a special celebratory event at Lenton House in Nottingham, where they are recognised for their contribution to the business and the communities they serve. The event offers colleagues the chance to reflect on their careers, reconnect with others and celebrate an extraordinary milestone.

Lisa Cherry, Chief People Office at Boots, said:

“Boots is one of the few retailers to have had a presence on high streets for decades, so it’s a true honour that some of our colleagues like Carol have spent their entire careers with us, caring for customers and playing an integral role in their communities. Carol joined Boots in 1977, and reaching 50 years of service is a truly remarkable achievement and a testament to the impact our colleagues make every single day.”
