Police, Fire Brigade & Amulance are in attendance at the Boulevard, Weston, at an incident involving a man on the roof of a building

The police have attempted to encourage the male to come down through the use of an audio drone and a fire brigade crane is now also in attendance with a trained negotiator who will attempt to talk the man down from the roof.
Road closures are in place along the Boulevard between Victoria Quadrant and West St
Update (1pm) - Somewhere To Go, a charity locarted on the Boulevard who operate a a homeless and vulnerable adult day centre have issued the following statement;
"We would like to A huge thank you to Avon and Somerset Police, Weston BID, Avon Fire & Rescue Service, South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, North Somerset Council's Sea Front Rangers and Emergency Control Centre, as well as all our amazing staff and volunteers for their support.
Regarding the incident that occurred today on Somewhere to Go premises on the Boulevard we wanted to inform everyone about what had occurred.
We had an individual enter our premises who is currently banned for repeated breaches of our rules. When asked to leave the premises the person decided to climb onto our roof and the roofs of adjacent buildings and protest their ban from our premises by remaining on the roof of the building. This resulted in us having to evacuate our premises whilst emergency services worked to get the individual off the roof of our building. The individual eventually came down off the roof of their own accord. The individual was seen by the ambulance crew and subsequently arrested by police.
A big thank you to our staff and volunteers who moved our clients down to Italian Gardens and provided them with food, water and coffee. As a charity who supports homeless and vulnerable adults, there are individuals who rely heavily on our services to meet their basic needs. Whilst this was not an ideal situation, we did not want to leave those in need without access to food during the temporary closure of the service.
Thank you for your understanding."
Hope they manage to talk him down, and even more importantly get him some help which he is obviously crying out for. Mental health is just as important as physical health.
